How dumb is this guy? He’s under overwhelming scrutiny, staring down a prison sentence and additional state charges for dog fighting/killing and now he tests positive for weed. Way to go Mike! Why not just walk yourself out in front of a city bus?
A federal judge placed tighter restrictions on Michael Vick on Wednesday after he tested positive for marijuana.
Because of the result, U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson placed special conditions on Vick’s release, including restricting him to his home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and ordering him to submit to random drug testing.
The urine sample was submitted Sept. 13, according to a document by a federal probation officer that was filed in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
Vick has already plead guilty. Does he deserve to be out running around getting stoned? Why not just incarcerate the guy now pending sentencing (obviously giving him credit for any time served) and make sure that he isn’t out partying up? His being out right now is a privilege he obviously isn’t worthy of.Â

This is great. You know when you think about what losers these two guys were, it makes a lot of sense!Â
“Proper blitz protection,”… exactly! Forget about steroids, how do you play against a team that knows what you’re planning?! Bonds, HGH using football players, et al still have to make contact with a ball (catch, hit, whatever)… calling proper plays to counter an opponent’s ENTIRE GAME PLAN… is a whole different level.

Bill Belichick is an asshole. There is no getting around it. The guy has some serious issues where it concerns his personal conduct and his sense of fairness. Belichick is one of these, “life isn’t fair” kind of morons that uses simplistic notions like that to justify his awful behavior. You cheated you piece of excrement. You know it, and your team knows it. Now the world knows it. You should be run out of the league. You’re everything that’s wrong with professional sports at the moment. It’s your “whatever it takes” attitude that is tainting EVERYTHING. Your whole life is “cheating”, ain’t it Billy? Personal and professional, it doesn’t matter.
Apologize for spying on the Jets, and it’s all better?  SCREW YOU. You have a major pair on you tough guy. The league better throw the book at you. Hell, they should suspend you. Why shouldn’t the example be set from the top? It was YOUR responsibility, and probably YOUR orders. You’re a pathetic SOB. You wanted to maim people on Sunday. You put careers in jeopardy. You’re a slug. What a hard-on you have for Mangini and the Jets. “Homo says what?”
Belichick said he spoke with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell this week about a “videotaping procedure” during last Sunday’s game and “my interpretation of the rules.”
“At this point, we have not been notified of the league’s ruling,” Belichick said in a statement. “Although it remains a league matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and players. Following the league’s decision, I will have further comment.”
Arrogant to the last. Your “interpretation”, of the rules means jack, pal.Â

Say it ain’t so. The NFL is investigating whether or not the Patriots were videotaping defensive play calling during yesterday’s game. Considering how badly the Jets were RUN OVER, you halfway hope it’s true.
The investigation was first reported by ESPN.com, which said that NFL security confiscated a video camera and tape from a Patriots employee during New England’s 38-14 victory Sunday. The employee was accused of aiming his camera at the Jets’ defensive coaches, who were sending signals out to the players, sources told the Web site.
“The rule is that no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches’ booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game,” the league said in a statement from spokesman Greg Aiello. “Clubs have specifically been reminded in the past that the videotaping of an opponent’s offensive or defensive signals on the sidelines is prohibited.
“We are looking into whether the Patriots violated this rule.”
I think it’s a bit odd that there have been multiple events in which the Patriots have had videographers without credentials or acting in suspicious ways.
Last November, the Green Bay Packers had an issue with a man wearing a Patriots staff credential and carrying a video camera on the sidelines at Lambeau Field.
Teams are allowed to have a limited number of their own videographers on the sideline during the game, but they must have a credential that authorizes them to shoot video, and wear a yellow vest. But Packers spokesman Jeff Blumb said the person in question didn’t have the right credential and wasn’t wearing a yellow vest, so Packers security asked him to put away the camera.
Rather interesting to say the least. Belichick is a whatever it takes kind of asshole, so I put nothing past the guy.Â
Stood next to Bob Kraft on the field at Joe Robbie back in 97. He actually seemed like a nice enough guy. Fully accessible, no entourage, great suit. Curtis Martin looked tiny to me, and Bledsoe was the giant in the pocket. They were close enough to touch. A cool time for sure. I’ll never forget being on that field and even making it onto the jumbo tron as I stood behind the broad that was singing the national anthem. Did I mention it was a Monday night game… ahhhh priceless.

Yeah it’s that time of the year again. Sundays dominated by football. Unfortunately, being in Florida and having DiSH vs. DirecTV, I don’t get to see my beloved Jets very often. Watching the Miami/Washington game is boring. BOO!
Still the steaks are marinating, the sour cream is chilling and the asparagus awaits prep. Ahhhh…. I guess I’ll have to check in on the Jets through ESPN… it’s almost like being there… right, heheh. I’ll just have to suffer through with a finely bbq’d hunk of meat!
J!E!T!S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

Duh! Excuses aside, it was obvious that this kid was going to sell the ball. Nice way to build-up value by saying you don’t want to part with it, but I don’t think anybody was seriously “buying” it. So now the ball goes to auction (along with his ticket stub). It should be a nice payday for the kid from Queens (there is something hilarious about that), eventhough the ball he’s selling had a peculiar taint.

Great! Now we can dispense with the niceties and get down to the nitty gritty of it all. We can throw aside all of the speculation and get down to business. We can finally call this guy what he is, a spineless coward and a son of a bitch.Â
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to federal charges related to a dogfighting ring, according to a statement from his attorney. In the statement by attorney Billy Martin, Vick agreed to plead guilty and accept a plea deal and will “accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made,” ESPN and Fox News reported Monday.
Well, that’s mighty righteous of Michael Vick, isn’t it? All of his cronies turn bitch and rat him out, and then he suddenly MANS UP. Hallelujah! He is repentant!
“After consulting with his family over the weekend, Michael Vick asked that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him,” Martin’s statement said.
“Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made.”
“Michael wishes to apologizes again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.”
Why not just call it like it is? Why not just say, “After consulting with my client and it finally getting through to him that federal prosecutors have the goods on him, he has decided to throw his sorry ass on the mercy of the court.” THAT I COULD AT LEAST RESPECT. That’s the honest to god truth.Â
I say this guy should be banned for life from the NFL. I also wouldn’t mind seeing him put into a cage and set upon by three pitbulls. Considering that there are additional allegations of gambling and racketeering involved, one can only hope that Goodell throws the book at him. What a waste. What a complete and utter piece of human excrement.

Barry Bonds, bring it on! Please, oh please… sue Schilling for defamation! I want to see what discovery in a case like that is going to look like. I want you to open up that can of worms. I want you to inadvertently expose the truth (whatever that may be *snickers*) by your own hand.Â
Mr. Bonds, you could have put all of this to bed a long time ago. If you had nothing to hide, why all of the ducking? Is it any wonder that people have questions? Yeah, you go right ahead and sue Curt. I’m not much of a Schilling fan… but I sure as hell will be rooting for him if you do end up suing him.
Here’s a little blurb about what was said by Schilling on ‘Costas Now’.
On the HBO program “Costas Now,” Schilling discussed Bonds’ former mistress, Kimberly Bell, and her potentially damaging grand-jury testimony. She reportedly testified that Bonds told her about his steroid use.
“If I wrote a book about Bob Costas and in that book I wrote about Bob Costas’ girlfriend being on the road, and Bob Costas giving that girlfriend card-show money and I outlined your daily steroid regimen, I’ve got to believe your first line of defense is to sue my (butt) off,” Schilling said on the program.
So I wonder why Bonds isn’t suing the former girlfriend…. hmmmm.

Welp, news of the death of “The Scooter” bums me out mightily. I guess it’s just the laying to rest of yet another stable of childhood. The guy was a “homer” and may have stated the obvious over and over again, but he was our homer. Sitting around eating icecream, or graham crackers and milk and watching a Yankee game at my grandparents’ house is an enduring memory of youth. The banter between Rizzuto and Bill White was always a major part of viewing those games back in the 70s and 80s. The two of them were entertaining. I know a lot of people would get pissed off when Phil would spout off a “Holy Cow!” only to watch the ball caught deep, but hey… it was also hilarious.
God speed, Phil… you’ll always be fondly remembered by this SOB.

Barry Bonds hit his 756th homerun last night. What do I have to say about it? Insert asterisk here. I know that there are those that are saying he had to have the skills necessary to connect with the ball. I happen to agree with that part of the argument. The guy has to have talent to connect a bat with a ball, no doubt about it. It’s everything else associated with achieving the feat that I take issue with. I guess I’m a member of the “Costas” camp… since he seems to be the posterboy for the asterisk argument. The steroids that Bonds is alleged to have used enhanced his power, his stamina, his regenerative abilities and so many other intangibles that directly or indirectly allowed him to achieve this milestone. Costa’s argument where it concerns Bonds’s pre-juice and post-juice stats has merit. I don’t care if he did it against pitchers that were also juicing. That argument has little to say about Bonds and HIS raw talent. Bonds would have gone down as a great player without this record. Now that he has it along with the stigma of “juicing” I think he is diminished rather than enhanced as an athlete.    Â
It’s just sad that this controversy exists at all. Frankly I think that this era in baseball under the suspect leadership of Bud Selig has been a blight on the whole of the game… but that doesn’t mean that Bonds should be rewarded for his misdeeds.  The record will stand and Bonds will be recognized for his achievment, but what it says about sport or Bonds as a man is nothing to be proud of. Instead this will be something the sport will have to endure until an athlete of a higher caliber gives the record its dignity back. That’s what Bonds did, he took the record’s dignity and for that the baseball gods must be crying.Â
