Gee, when I heard the news that Time had named Vlad Putin, Person of the Year I had to resist the nearly uncontrollable urge to run out and kiss the bare belly of a young boy.
You have to love John McCain. I lost a lot of respect for the guy when he allowed Bush to roll over him, but as of late he’s been able to chip away at my cynicism and reclaim some bit of his former glory. Here’s some comments from the Senator about Vlad… I am guessing these two won’t be exchanging Christmas cards! McCain made a nice play on Bush’s naivete with the comment about looking into Putin’s eyes, but it is his works that wholly illustrate that the man is hardly concerned with being a partner or an ally.
