Why even bother to go through the tedious charade of holding a vote? Is there any game out there that even comes close to the mad fun of Team Fortress 2? Can any other title truly capture the feel of class based combat the way that this game does? From the campy style of the “cartoon” graphics, to the well voiced personas of the characters, this game takes online gaming to a new height. Believe me, I’ve been around gaming for a long time, and it’s jaded me. I knew that Team Fortress 2 was special when it had me smiling and laughing as often as it had me cursing and smashing my mouse on the desk.
Team Fortress 2 took years to finally come to market and it was worth the wait. The first incarnation of the game was totally scrubbed and a new tact was taken in the development of a game that wasn’t “reality” based, but instead focused on fun. Thank God the powers that be, made the change. What they created was a unique title in a sea of teamplay GARBAGE. The game is balanced. The classes all have their own advantages and weaknesses. They are not subtle, they are pronounced. It’s like rock, paper, scissor… a perfect harmony of checks and balances to keep all players honest. Better even still, the differences in the classes that you can play accomodates almost every style of play. What this also adds is a level of depth that you don’t usually see in games of any sort. There is some mixture of skill and thought that goes into this game and that just makes it all the more addictive.
If you don’t have this game, you’re missing out. When you consider that it comes as part of the “Orange Box” (now available for PC, Xbox360 and coming soon to PS3) which includes several additional titles along with Team Fortress 2, it becomes a no brainer.  For somewhere in the neighborhood of $59.99 you get the cream of the Valve Software collection (Portal, Half Life 2) and the best game to come down the road in AGES.
Here’s a short video that shows some gameplay footage of the soldier class along with a bit of a look at the “attitude” of this class. I’m biased though, I love playing a soldier.

In what might be the most desperate attempt ever made to appease critics, Imus has gone out and gotten himself a female black sidekick, who also happens to be jewish. Talk about covering your bases!
Imus’ black sidekick is an Oxford-educated Texas cowgirl whose career has ranged from broadcast journalism to stand-up comedy, sources told The Post.
Karith Foster, a Harlem resident who grew up outside Dallas, was brought on by Imus to ease tension stirred up by his racist comment about the Rutgers women’s basketball team, which got him booted in April, sources said.
Well at least the “source” was honest in the assessment. Imus wasn’t happy with just one token black though… he went the extra mile and got two, also added to the cast is another african american comic by the name of Tony Powell. I don’t know, maybe these two are hilarious and extremely talented (never heard of either one), it’s nothing about or against them. I just think the whole thing is tacky as hell and little more than a stunt.
