Duh! Excuses aside, it was obvious that this kid was going to sell the ball. Nice way to build-up value by saying you don’t want to part with it, but I don’t think anybody was seriously “buying” it. So now the ball goes to auction (along with his ticket stub). It should be a nice payday for the kid from Queens (there is something hilarious about that), eventhough the ball he’s selling had a peculiar taint.
